Hacking 101: AppSec
This 101 gives attendees a hands-on experience with both attack and defense in an application environment. Application Security (AppSec) is the use of software, hardware and procedural methods to combat vulnerabilities and protect critical data from external threats. Effective AppSec hinges upon an organization’s ability to examine and plug the “holes” that are present in the software used to run their business.

Erik is currently serving as one of SecureSet’s primary instructors at the Colorado Springs campus and has an extensive background, primarily spent in the roles of principal software engineer and risk manager.
